The free Check

Your answers to What's Different This Time? stay in your browser while you use the Check. They are not sent to Salvage Math.

If you choose Save on this device, the answers are stored in your browser on that device so you can return to them later. You can clear them by clearing this site's browser storage.

Emailing or printing your results

If you choose to email your comparison, your device opens your own email application with the text prepared for you. Salvage Math does not receive that email unless you choose to send it to a Salvage Math address yourself.

If you print or save a PDF, that file is handled by your device and browser.

Ask Stephen

Ask Stephen uses a payment provider for checkout and a separately configured form provider for the structured intake. The intake requests contact information, the current decision, relevant prior history, what happened after prior rescues, what appears different now, and the specific question you want reviewed.

The public-use choice defaults to Private only. Choosing the alternate option only means Salvage Math may contact you separately to ask about possible anonymized or composite educational use. It is not permission to publish your submitted case.

Family Reconstruction applications

The application requests contact information, the current decision, a first-pass history, family exposure, relevant disagreement, and enough information to determine whether standard or Extended scope may be appropriate.

The application specifically asks you not to upload sensitive records. If records later become useful, how they will be handled should be agreed before you send them.

Payment information

Payment card information should be entered only on the configured payment provider's checkout page. Salvage Math does not need your full card number through its own intake forms.

Site measurement

The site is prepared to measure simple actions such as which page or button was used, Check starts and completions, offer clicks, and form submissions. The measurement code should not include the narrative text you enter into the free Check or paid-service forms.

Before launch

The site owner must configure the actual payment provider, form provider, their privacy terms, and the final operating procedures before accepting sensitive paid-service submissions. Do not submit family records through a form that still says its secure destination is not configured.
